  was kindly donated by Dr Ernest Miller, one of the Liverpool Bahá’ís of the 1950’s and was formerly the surgery he
  practised from as a GP. Later No 5 was purchased and the two buildings are
  now the Bahá’í Centre of today. This Centre is
  a focus for a wide range of Bahá’í activities around Merseyside, attracting

  of the first Local Spiritual Assembly of Liverpool took place at  The first elected
  assembly members were: Mrs Alma Gregory, Mr John Hargreaves,
  Mr Hassan Sabri, Miss
  Margaret Shanks, Miss Una Townsend, Mrs Mary Beeby, Miss Stella Farnsworth, Mr Thomas Parry, Mr Charles Farrington. The following
  is quoted from their first minutes: "With this feeling, and enraptured
  in this atmosphere of gratitude for the gift of life, the Assembly was moved
  to… hope that it may be able to render, in a measure, gratitude for that
  which has been given to it during the period of its conception." About Abdu’l-Bahá: Abdu’l-Bahá who was
